New Article Published: Relational Freedom and the Ilan Pappe Case

I’m pleased to announce the publication of my new article, "Relational Freedom and the Ilan Pappe Case: an anthropological proposal for freedom," in the International Journal of Sociology and Social Policy.


In this article, I explore and critique the concept of freedom as rooted in liberalism, using the FBI’s detention of historian Ilan Pappe at Detroit Airport in the United States as a case study. This event is analyzed as an emblematic example of the tensions between individual freedom and state power.
