I am currently in the process of preparing to offer specialized translation services, focusing on technical, literary, academic (Social Sciences), and commercial documents involving the Mandarin language and Chinese culture. My approach is being carefully developed to combine cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of cultural nuances, aiming to ensure translations that are not only accurate but also culturally appropriate and naturally fluent in Portuguese.

Ethical Use of AI Technologies:

Like many translation professionals in the market, I am studying and testing the use of advanced Artificial Intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT, to support and streamline the work. I feel an ethical obligation to share to what extent these tools will be used and when human analysis will become indispensable. These tools allow me to quickly explore technical terms and verify crucial linguistic nuances to ensure high-quality translations. However, it is important to emphasize that technology will only be a part of the process – the real value lies in the adaptation and personalization that I will apply to each translation, based on both my knowledge of Mandarin and my experience in anthropology, with my current Ph.D. thesis focused on China. This gives me a unique understanding of the text to be translated and how the message can be best adapted for Brazilian Portuguese.

My commitment is clear: technology will assist, but it will not replace the anthropological perspective on cultural aspects. The final translation will be carefully reviewed and adjusted to ensure it sounds natural and appropriate to the Brazilian cultural context. I use AI as a support tool, but it will be my knowledge of Mandarin and Portuguese, combined with my academic experience, that will ensure a high-quality result.
